The Romanian Energy Day Association is organizing the 10th edition of Romanian Energy Day, the flagship event representing the Romanian and regional energy sectors in Brussels. This year’s edition will be held ONLINE, on the 26th of October. Energynomics is the Official Editorial Partner of the 10th Romanian Energy Day organized by CRE.

Already in its 10th year, the Romanian ENERGY DAY stands out as a relevant forum for debate and regional cooperation, with the participation in previous editions of Energy and Climate Commissioners Kadri Simson, Miguel Arias Cañete and Günther Oettinger, European Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, member states’ energy ministers and various high-ranking officials from the European Commission and the European Parliament.

European Union is committed to cut emissions by at least 55% by 2030, what has been called “the make-or-break decade” for climate action. The subsequent target is for climate neutrality by 2050. The timeframe seems far ahead, but the challenge is massive.

Being the most ambitious political projects since the inception of the EU, the EU Climate Action and the European Green Deal will greatly test the cohesion among all member states. It all depends on sustaining the European objectives on track and the joint efforts undertaken by all countries and by all sectors of the economy, as one.

Entitled “X Marks the Spot. Stable Climate for Uncertain Times”, Romanian Energy Day 2021 is tailored around the European Green Deal and the subsequently adopted “Fit for 55” program and will attempt to deconstruct the EU Climate Action Strategy by some of its key pillars, namely energy, buildings, transport, industry, as well as the Romanian energy industry’s perspectives on the transition to the low-carbon economy.
