The RoEnergy South-East Europe trade fair returns to Timișoara on 21-23 October 2026, with an edition focused particularly on the needs of industrial energy consumers. Held at Pavilion Expovest, the event will bring together suppliers of technologies for power generation, energy storage, electrical infrastructure, cogeneration and energy efficiency, in a region that concentrates a significant share of Romania’s industrial activity. Energynomics is a media partner of the event.
The location of the trade fair in western Romania reflects an issue that is becoming increasingly important in the strategies of industrial companies: energy is no longer simply an operating cost, but a factor influencing competitiveness, investment and decarbonisation plans. Automotive, electronics, logistics, the food industry, retail and commercial real estate are among the sectors for which energy prices, security of supply and emissions reductions are becoming direct criteria in investment decisions.
The organisers are positioning the 2026 edition close to the A1 corridor, the main road connection between western Romania and the markets of Central and Western Europe. The aim is to bring technology suppliers closer to companies that need to turn their energy objectives into concrete projects, from photovoltaic generation and storage to electrical infrastructure, cogeneration and energy consumption management.
From BESS and inverters to turbines and electrical infrastructure
The list of participants confirmed so far covers several segments of the energy value chain. STS Group brings experience in utility-scale renewable projects, high-voltage infrastructure and BESS, while Ingeteam will showcase energy conversion technologies, power electronics and grid solutions.
The infrastructure segment includes companies such as Ganz, which specialises in high-power transformers and rotating electrical machines, as well as suppliers of design, construction and equipment for photovoltaic installations. In the field of industrial power generation, Czech company EKOL will present solutions including steam turbines, boilers, cogeneration, biomass and waste-to-energy. The exhibition will also feature batteries, inverters, photovoltaic panels, mounting structures, protection equipment and solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The composition of the trade fair also reflects the changing structure of energy investment. For industrial companies, installing a photovoltaic power plant is only one of the available options. Storage, demand-side flexibility, power quality, on-site electrical infrastructure, heat recovery and cogeneration can all become part of the same strategy to reduce costs and exposure to market volatility.
Conference and direct meetings with industry
Alongside the exhibition, the “RES – Solutions for Industry” conference will take place on 21 October, built around case studies and solutions that can be applied directly in industrial environments.
RoEnergy Industrial Access adds a programme of scheduled meetings between exhibitors and managers of companies with significant energy consumption. The format is designed to allow industrial companies to identify relevant suppliers in advance and turn their participation in the trade fair into a series of practical discussions focused on their own projects and energy needs.
This autumn’s edition is the 17th edition of RoEnergy South-East Europe. The event has been organised since 2010, alternating between Timișoara and Bucharest, and over the years has brought together companies from Romania, Europe and Asia, alongside institutions, professional associations and industrial energy consumers.
For the 21-23 October edition, visitor access to the exhibition is free of charge, subject to prior online registration.
