Prosumers’ solar systems financing program will resume in December, announced on Thursday
Minister of the Environment, Tanczos Barna. He also said that in a few days the new program will be launched through which funds can be accessed for the construction of charging stations for electric cars. “We will finance over 2,300 such stations and next year they will be completed by the Ministry of Development, with the launch of the 15,000 stations in PNRR,” said the Minister of Environment.

“Two more programs will be launched in December: 1. the photovoltaic program for individuals. We will keep the same project submission system through installers, through specialized companies that are initially registered in the system and will have this right; and 2. we will launch and a program of bike lanes largely based on the structure of the guide that has been launched in the past,” he added.

Last month, the Minister of Environment stated that Romania will have a network of 18,000 charging stations for electric vehicles in the next 4-5 years, with money from the Administration of the Environment Fund (AFM) and from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), according to Hotnews.ro.

He said then that the AFM will launch in a maximum of two weeks the program through which local administrations can access money for charging stations.

“The charging station program will be launched in a maximum of two weeks. We have approved the guide and it will probably be published this week or next in the Official Gazette. We need to build this charging infrastructure that is well developed in Western Europe. We will fund over 2,000 charging stations for the administrative-territorial units, PNRR also comes with over 15,000 stations and in four or five years we will reach 18,000 charging stations in Romania from these funds,” said Minister Tanczos Barna, quoted by Agerpres.

He also stated that “Romania will benefit from huge funds through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and will be obliged to implement significant reforms based on this program.”

“We welcome the decision of the (European) Commission and we are glad that we are among the countries that have the approved National Recovery and Resilience Program. Romania will benefit from huge funds and will be obliged to implement significant reforms based on this program. Green transition is the Ministry’s program for the environment that includes several components of investments on environmental reforms. Water management is a very important field. Here we will have a budget of over one billion euros for the development of water and sewerage systems in Romania. You know very well that we have an infringement in this regard and we need to have concrete results, to show the Commission that we are able to deal with these issues properly. The second equally important component is the part of forests and biodiversity protection. We will have over 600 million (euro) for afforestation and hundreds of millions for biodiversity, for management plans, for habitat restoration, for the protection of meadows with high genetic value. The third component – waste management – benefits from funding for both non-household waste disposal platforms, where we will have hundreds of municipalities that will be able to benefit from funding to build such platforms. We will also finance 15 large platforms for urban areas, where construction waste, metal, plastic, wood, tires, hazardous waste can be stored,” he said.
