The administration of the Environmental Fund (AFM) announces that it has supplemented the budgets of the Rabla Clasic and Rabla Plus Programs, that subsidize the acquisitions of classic and green cars, by 300 million lei for each program.

The amounts will be used this year only to ensure the necessary funds for the approval of the acceptance files submitted by the legal entities applicants during the sessions concluded on December 2, says the AFM release.

Unused amounts may be made available for new program enrollment in sessions to be launched in 2022.

“Compared to previous years, the amendments to the Rabla Clasic and Rabla Plus Programs in 2021 have created the possibility that the launch next year of the sessions for submitting applications for acceptance by legal entities and for the registration of individuals will no longer be conditional. In the context of this, the relevant period for the resumption of the Rabla and Rabla Plus Programs will be published in the near future, and the new mechanism for their implementation will ensure predictability in regarding the timing of the allocation of the allocated budgets,” said the AFM president, Lorand-Arpad Fulop.

Within the Classic Scrap Program 2021, 195 accepted files for 329 vehicles were published this week on the AFM website, and within the Scrap Plus 2021 Program, 796 accepted files were published for 1,235 electric vehicles (940 purely electric and 295 hybrid electric motorcycles) and two electric motorcycles.
