The Order of Energy Auditors of Romania (OAER) together with the Association of Installation Engineers of Romania (AIIR) announce the organization of the Built Environment Sustainability Gala, a prestigious event that will take place on February 26, 2026, at Le Château, the castle in the heart of Bucharest.
The event is organized in partnership with the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB), the Romanian Order of Architects (OAR), Cluster TEC, the Federation of European Associations for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (REHVA), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHARE), and the Energy Performance of Buildings Center (EPB Center), bringing together key players in the built environment: public authorities, the business community, specialists, professional organizations, and academia.
The conference part of the gala will be moderated by Garbriel Avăcăriței, editor-in-chief of Energynomics, and will include a presentation session and two panels strongly anchored in the issues facing the construction and building installations sector:
- The role of local authorities in the correct application of legislative and regulatory provisions
- What do construction companies want from Generation Z graduates?
A major attraction of the presentation session at the Built Environment Sustainability Gala is the presence of internationally and nationally renowned keynote speakers, leaders of organizations that directly influence the development directions of the built environment at European and global level. The event will feature presentations by Livio Mazzarella, president of REHVA, the leading voice of European HVAC, Blake E. Ellis, vice president of ASHRAE, the world’s most influential organization in the field of installations, sustainability, and energy efficiency, and Patrick Crombez (TBC), president of EHPA, the organization representing the heat pump sector at European level. At the national level, Cătălin Lungu, president of OAER / vice president of AIIR, will bring Romania’s perspective in the context of new European policies and challenges regarding the energy performance of buildings.
