The zero priority for Designated Electricity Operators (OPEED) and System Operators (OTS) is to protect the health of their staff, while ensuring the continuity of all operations within the DAM Single Market Coupling (SDAC) and of intraday markets (SIDC), announced the operator of the electricity market OPCOM.

“As regards the coupling of the markets for the day ahead and of the intraday markets, several measures have been adopted to ensure the stability of the operations. These include the physical separation within the respective operational teams and the possibility of OPEEDs running the auction sessions on the market for the DAM and intraday remotely. Several SDAC and SIDC parties decided to stop the changes in the production environment. For details on these measures, please contact each TSO and OPEED individually.

“Although the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic changes from day to day, SDAC and SIDC do not expect a significant impact on their own capacities to operate the relevant coupled markets, namely the DAM and the intraday market in the current circumstances”, a also transmitted OPCOM.
