Sustainability in the Oil & Gas Sector – First Energy Breakfast Club of the Year

Wednesday, on February 17, from 9 A.M. at Cesianu Racoviţă Palace, in Bucharest, energynomics.ro invites you to the first informal meeting this year for the experts and decision makers in th energy industry: Energy Breakfast Club – Sustainability in the Oil & Gas Sector. We will put under investigation a sector most pressed by various challenges, starting with the general conditions in the global markets of raw materials, up to the prospects for amending the O&G taxation and to the environmental liabilities assumed by Romania.

Daniel Apostol will present the current situation and most probable perspectives for the on-shore Upstream industry in Romania. There will be some considerations on the debate for a new National Energy Strategy, as well as on the pressure the depressed oil prices are putting on the development projects in the sector.

Traian Ionescu will present the main environmental obligations for the Oil & Gas industry, with special emphasis on waste management and traceability, and some examples of recovery solutions which do no not require any additional cost.






We will invite over 50 experts from the energy sector, mainly representatives of Romania’s top O&G companies, and representatives of professional associations in the field. Among the organizations we invited there are Lukoil, Romgaz, Socar, Amromco, Transgaz, Conpet, Mol România, Expert Petroleum, Rompetrol, Panfora Oil & Gas, Nobel Oil, OMV Petrom, Winstar, Hunt Oil, Zeta Petroleum, Nis Petrol.

Global oil market is undergoing a very unusual period: oversupply, weak demand and prices steadily declining over the last 18 months. In Romania, the tax burden remains high, while investments in new exploration projects are postponed or drastically reduced.

Many small businesses are struggling to survive, while large companies are forced to streamline operations and reduce costs. Energy Breakfast Club is a meeting of 2 to 3 hours where energy specialists have the opportunity to keep themselves up to date with the latest information and the most influential views on one the hot topics of the moment.

As a host, energynomics.ro will provide – from 09.00 AM – the MC and the coffee, will propose the theme and will launch the invitations for the speakers. They are selected accordingly with their best knowledge of the topic and are responsible for organizing ideas and stimulating intellectual challenges. Presentations will not exceed 20 minutes and are intended to be starting points for a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives.
