Leaders in Energy Transition @ Bucharest

17 Nov 2026 @ 10:00 - 16:00

On 17 November 2026, Energynomics is organizing at Ronda Ballroom in Grand Hotel Bucharest (see map!) the edition dedicated to the Bucharest & Ilfov region of the national series “Romanian Leaders of the Energy Transition 2026”, a media campaign and a set of regional events dedicated to the leaders already delivering measurable results in Romania’s energy transition.

In 2026, Energynomics shifts the focus from education to recognition, based on the idea that the market has moved beyond the awareness stage and entered a phase of implementation, verifiable results and replicable models. The Bucharest conference continues this new stage through a practical dialogue about what has already been built, what has worked and what deserves to be scaled up at regional and national level.

Romanian Leaders of the Energy Transition – Bucharest 2026 is designed as a platform for recognition, connection and accelerated replication of relevant projects in the region, bringing together local authorities, system operators, industry, developers, technology providers, integrators, financial institutions and educational organizations in a new format, more focused on results and collaboration.

CONTEXT

After nine years of helping bring energy efficiency, digitalization, renewables and decarbonization topics into the spotlight, Energynomics proposes in 2026 a new logic for dialogue: from proof to scale. The focus shifts from promises to validated examples, measurable indicators and projects that can become benchmarks for other market players.

Bucharest is a natural landmark for this series, as the main institutional, investment and corporate hub of Romania’s energy market. In this context, the Bucharest edition aims to bring forward the leaders who can demonstrate results and accelerate their replication at a broader scale, in a setting where public decision-making, private demand, technology and finance meet most directly.

The event addresses public authorities, utility companies and system operators, large industrial and commercial consumers, project developers, solution and technology providers, integrators, financial institutions, professional associations and all those actively involved in the energy transformation of the capital and its surrounding area.

FORMAT

The Bucharest edition is part of the new Energynomics event format for 2026, built around four complementary components:

  • Classic conference – connecting regional and national energy leaders
  • Thematic workshop – for in-depth discussions with energy transition experts
  • Site visits – for direct exposure to impactful projects and technologies
  • Exclusive dinner – for high-quality networking and recognition of performance

FOCUS AREAS

  • Energy efficiency – optimisation, reduced consumption and measurable performance
  • Digitalisation & smart grids – data, automation and intelligent tools for energy systems
  • Renewable energy – solar, wind, prosumer solutions and the integration of new capacities
  • Storage & flexibility – batteries, demand response, thermal storage and practical use cases
  • District heating – modernisation, cogeneration and more efficient public services
  • Industrial decarbonisation – electrification, emissions reduction and process transformation

PARTICIPATION

The Bucharest conference aims to bring together, in a single framework, national and regional leaders able to demonstrate real progress in the energy transition. The event places at its core the recognition of those already delivering green, smart and efficient solutions, the replication of projects that work, and the collaboration between authorities, industry, technology and finance.

Among the organizations targeted in the region are public authorities, infrastructure operators, developers, technology companies, large consumers, financiers and professional organizations active in energy infrastructure, distribution, digitalization, flexibility, efficiency and decarbonization projects.

Conference access is intended for professionals actively involved in energy transformation, infrastructure, digitalization, efficiency, flexibility, renewables and decarbonisation projects. Participation is free of charge, subject to confirmation by the organizer and within the limit of available seats.
