Leaders in Energy Transition North-West Region
27 Oct 2026 @ 09:00 - 16:00
On 27 October 2026, Energynomics is organizing in Cluj-Napoca the edition dedicated to the North-West region of the national series “Romanian Leaders in Energy Transition 2026”, a media campaign and a series of regional events dedicated to the leaders who are already delivering measurable results in Romania’s energy transition.
In 2026, Energynomics shifts the focus from education to recognition, based on the idea that the market has moved beyond the awareness stage and entered a phase of implementation, verifiable results and replicable models. The Cluj-Napoca conference continues this new stage through a practical dialogue about what has already been built, what has worked and what deserves to be scaled up at regional and national level.
Romanian Leaders in Energy Transition – Cluj-Napoca 2026 is designed as a platform for recognition, connection and accelerated replication of relevant projects in the region, bringing together local authorities, system operators, industry, developers, technology providers, integrators, financial institutions and educational organizations in a new format, more focused on results and collaboration.
CONTEXT
After nine years of helping bring energy efficiency, digitalization, renewables and decarbonization topics into the spotlight, Energynomics proposes in 2026 a new logic for dialogue: from proof to scale. The focus shifts from promises to validated examples, measurable indicators and projects that can become benchmarks for other market players.
Cluj-Napoca is a natural landmark for this series, as an economic, technological and academic hub of the North-West region. In this context, the Cluj-Napoca edition aims to bring forward the leaders who can demonstrate results and inspire their replication across other counties and sectors. The targeted region includes Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Cluj, Maramureș, Satu Mare and Sălaj.
The event addresses local and county authorities, public companies and utility operators, large industrial consumers, project developers, solution and technology providers, integrators, financial institutions, academia and all those actively involved in the region’s energy transformation.
FORMAT
The Cluj-Napoca edition is part of the new Energynomics event format for 2026, built around four complementary components:
- Classic conference – connecting regional and national leaders in energy
- Thematic workshop – for in-depth discussions with energy transition experts
- Site visits – for direct exposure to impactful projects and technologies
- Exclusive dinner – for high-quality networking and recognition of performance
FOCUS AREAS
- Energy efficiency – optimisation, reduced consumption and measurable performance
- Digitalization & smart grids – data, automation and intelligent tools for energy systems
- Renewable energy – solar, wind, prosumers and the integration of new capacities
- Storage & flexibility – batteries, demand response, thermal storage and practical use cases
- District heating – modernisation, cogeneration and more efficient public services
- Industrial decarbonisation – electrification, emissions reduction and process transformation
PARTICIPATION
The Cluj-Napoca conference aims to bring together, in a single framework, regional and national leaders able to demonstrate real progress in the energy transition. The event places at its core the recognition of those already delivering green, smart and efficient solutions, the replication of projects that work, and the collaboration between authorities, industry, technology and finance.
Among the organizations targeted in the region are local and county authorities from Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Cluj, Maramureș, Satu Mare and Sălaj, as well as key companies and institutions involved in energy infrastructure, distribution, industry, project development, digitalisation, flexibility and finance.
Conference access is intended for professionals actively involved in energy transformation, infrastructure, digitalisation, efficiency, flexibility, renewables and decarbonisation projects. Participation is free of charge, subject to confirmation by the organiser and within the limit of available seats.
