The company is ready to launch construction at Cernavodă. “It is a hydrogen production station, [… a] consumer […] in the group of power plants that we have in the area.”
The plan aims to harness cheap renewable energy at times of overproduction and convert it to hydrogen, with the subsequent possibilities for local use in gas and hydrogen generation or transportation.
This is not only a technical but also a strategic vision: creating a local ecosystem to absorb the peaks of photovoltaic or wind production, reducing pressure on the grid and supporting the decarbonization of other sectors.
