E.ON Energie România was, also in 2025, an important partner of the state and Romanian companies, having a major economic and social impact through the activity of its 850 employees and the collaboration with almost 1,000 Romanian suppliers of products and services, to which it directed over 9.1 billion lei (1.82 billion euro), while contributions to the state budget increased to about 1.1 billion lei (over 218 million euro), according to the E.ON Energie România Sustainability Report for 2025.

Increased interest in the production and storage of green energy

The company installed over 4,000 photovoltaic systems for residential customers, reaching a total of 8,900 at the end of last year. At the same time, it has recorded an increase in the number of installations equipped with storage batteries, a trend that reflects the growing interest in integrated self-consumption solutions. In the first six months of this year alone, 93% of the photovoltaic systems installed by the company to residential customers were equipped with storage batteries.

To date, E.ON has installed over 10,500 photovoltaic systems to residential customers. In addition, there are over 430 photovoltaic power plants for companies (401 registered at the end of 2025), with a cumulative installed capacity of 89 MWp, contributing to reducing energy costs and increasing energy independence.

In order to provide companies with access to green energy at predictable prices, E.ON has set itself the goal of developing a portfolio of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contracts. In this context, a photovoltaic power plant was built for the Webasto factory in Arad last year.

E.ON also supports low-emission transport and encourages the use of electric vehicles in Romania. The charging network reached the 600-point threshold in 2025, and currently has over 700 charging points.

Over 1.8 billion euro – orders to suppliers

Through its activity, E.ON Energie România supports an extensive ecosystem of partners and suppliers. In 2025, the company collaborated with 1,083 suppliers, of which 93% are Romanian companies. The total value of payments made to them exceeded 9.15 billion lei (1.83 billion euro), most of the amount going to companies in Romania.

With a portfolio of over 3.5 million customers, E.ON Energie România consolidated its position on the energy market in 2025, being one of the most important suppliers of electricity, natural gas and energy solutions in Romania.

The company supplied 18.7 TWh of natural gas last year, representing approximately 19% of national consumption, and 3.2 TWh of electricity, equivalent to approximately 7% of national consumption.

E.ON Energie România is also one of the most important contributors to the state budget, with almost 1.1 billion lei (over 218 million euro) transferred in 2025, an increase of approximately 3% compared to the previous year.

GraduatE.ON: 20 years of investing in young people

The GraduatE.ON program, one of the longest-running programs for developing young talents in Romania, ranked second in the national ranking of internship and management trainee programs in 2025.

In its 20 years of existence, the program has provided development opportunities for 180 university graduates, many of whom have built long-term careers within the company.

Professional training – 22 hours for each employee

E.ON continues to invest in professional training and employee skills development. In 2025, the average professional training reached 22 hours for each employee, and the total number of training hours increased by 40% compared to the previous year.

Investments in people are also reflected in the relationship with customers: the number of interactions through all the company’s communication channels exceeded one million last year, and the E.ON Romania Group maintained its second position in the top of the most appreciated employers in the industry.
