E.ON Energie România has set itself the goal of investing around 120 million euro in the next five years, mainly to develop its portfolio of energy solutions – photovoltaics, heat pumps, energy efficiency and electric mobility infrastructure – with the aim of supporting its customers in their efforts to reduce consumption and optimize energy costs, the company announced.
Around 67% of the investments, or 80 million euros, are planned for the development of PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) energy solution systems, an essential tool for the energy transition and the stability of energy costs for companies.
“In 2025, we exceeded the 100 million euro threshold in revenues generated in the energy solutions and services segment, up 17% compared to the previous year, a first for the company since entering this market ten years ago. We will focus even more on developing this segment in the coming years, especially in the area of long-term energy purchase contracts,” said Claudia Griech, CEO of E.ON Energie Romania.
At the end of 2025, the number of customers using solutions delivered by E.ON such as photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, charging stations for electric vehicles and modern heating and air conditioning systems exceeded 110,000.
In the segment of heating and cooling solutions for homes, over 100,000 families use condensing boilers supplied by the company, along with heat pumps and high-performance air conditioning systems.
In the field of renewable energy production, E.ON installed over 4,500 photovoltaic systems in 2025, 25% more than the previous year. At the end of the year, over 9,200 families were using complete solutions for the production of green energy.
The company also concluded a strategic partnership with ATMOCE to supply photovoltaic equipment that offers improved performance in low light conditions, a high level of safety and extended warranties.
In the electric mobility segment, E.ON exceeded the threshold of 670 private charging points installed for electric vehicles.
At the same time, approximately 835,000 customers contracted technical service packages dedicated to various types of installations and equipment.
In the area of solutions dedicated to companies, E.ON exceeded the threshold of 400 photovoltaic power plants built and delivered on a turnkey basis for partners from multiple industrial and service sectors.
An important moment in the development of the green energy segment was the operationalization of the first long-term power purchase agreement (PPA). Thus, E.ON became a renewable energy producer following the completion of a photovoltaic plant for the Webasto factory in Arad, a project worth approximately 1 million euros, developed, financed, implemented and operated by the company.
