Distribution company Delgaz Grid announced the completion of a major grid automation and digitalization project – ADMS, which takes the management and operation of the electricity distribution infrastructure in Moldova to a new level, with benefits for all users: consumers, prosumers and producers. The company has 14 such projects underway, worth a total of €402m.
The project, which started in 2021, has a value of 84m lei (excluding VAT), of which 61m lei is EU co-financing, granted in two stages: from the Cohesion Fund through the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (LOIP) 2014-2020 (first stage) and from the European Regional Development Fund through the Sustainable Development Programme (SDP) 2021-2027 (second stage).
The main components of the project include an integrated ADMS platform (SCADA – Remote Data Acquisition and Control, OMS – Outage Management, DMS – Document Management, Reporting), development of interfaces with other systems (GIS – Geographic Information System, SAP, MDMS – Measurement Data Management, FSMS – Field Team Management, SCADA), development of the EBS platform (Enterprise Service Bus – “highway” for communications between systems integrated in ADMS), as well as the modernization of 22 km of low-voltage network related to 33 transformer stations and the installation of over 10,000 smart meters in a homogeneous area of the Suceava municipality.
“Delgaz Grid pays special attention to attracting European funds to support investment programs, especially since, as it is a non-reimbursable financing, these costs are not reflected in customers’ invoices. Currently, 14 such projects are underway, worth a total of 402 million euros, of which 307 million euros with European financing,” say company officials.
The projects target SMART metering, modernization of transformer stations, construction of new stations, modernization of networks on all voltage levels.
