The Competition Council authorized the transaction by which Engie Romania intends to take over EP Wind Project (Rom) Six S.A.

Engie România S.A., through the companies controlled by it, operates in the sector of electricity production from renewable sources (through the operation of wind and photovoltaic plants), in the natural gas sector and in the sector of services related to the energy sector.

EP Wind Project (Rom) Six S.A. owns and operates a wind power plant in Constanța county, being active in the sector of electricity production from renewable sources. The company reported a turnover of 47 million lei in 2022.

Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.

The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, after the removal of confidential information.
