The Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of the Environment and Hidroelectrica have established a joint working group that will deal with investments in the energy field, with the aim of unblocking infrastructure projects in hydropower plants, with an execution rate of over 90%, and the preparation of new strategic projects, announced the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja.

“Today, together with my colleague Mircea Fechet, the Minister of the Environment, and the specialists of the two ministries, together with Bogdan Badea, CEO of Hidroelectrica, and his team, I started a joint working group for investments in the energy sector. On the one hand, we aim unblocking infrastructure projects in hydropower plants, projects started even before 1989, with an execution rate of over 90%. On the other hand, we are preparing Romania’s new strategic projects, from Tarnița-Lăpuşteşti to the National Hydrogen Strategy and the law for power plants offshore wind farms,” the minister wrote on Facebook page, according to Agerpres.

He emphasized that the impact on the environment must be carefully evaluated and addressed, with solid technical arguments, to ensure the development of the Romanian energy sector in optimal conditions.

“All these investments will mean jobs, lower bills for citizens and companies and cleaner air (green energy),” Burduja pointed out.
