Bucharest City Hall launched in SEAP (participation announcement no. CN1038631) the tender for the award of contracts for the design and execution of works for the rehabilitation of 105.9 kilometers of transport route of the heating agent, respectively 211.94 kilometers of pipelines of the transmission network.

The project is financed from European funds through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 and has an estimated value of 1.17 billion lei, excluding VAT. The duration of the contract is 48 months for the completion of the design and execution of the works, with a subsequent period of at least 36 months for the notification of defects. The deadline for submission of bids is March 9, 2022.

“At the end of the project, we will be able to say, finally, that the problem of district heating is solved in the Capital”, appreciated the mayor Nicușor Dan, in a post on Facebook.

The 106 kilometers are divided into 25 sections and are part of the sections with the highest heat loss / additional water of the general network.

The general objective of the project is to increase energy efficiency by reducing heat loss on heat transmission networks, reducing the negative impact of pollutant emissions caused by SACET, in order to improve the quality of life of the population of Bucharest in 2028 and ensure compliance with the environmental obligations established by the Treaty of Accession of Romania to the EU.
