The 51st issue of Energynomics Magazine has been launched and is available online, free of charge, together with all previous editions. 184 pages of interviews, analyses and strategic perspectives on Romania’s and the region’s energy sector are now available to readers — an edition that captures the moment when the energy market enters a more mature stage, in which real prices, investments, grids, storage and energy security become inseparable themes.

The Q2/2026 edition marks a clear shift in focus: the energy transition can no longer be discussed separately from the functioning of markets, grid capacity, financial discipline and the real speed of project implementation. The editorial of this edition highlights precisely this change in language and priorities, at a time when the price of energy is beginning once again to send real signals, while the quality of public decisions, the bankability of projects and infrastructure capacity matter just as much as the strategic direction. In a few weeks, the printed edition will reach, as usual, professionals in the sector, decision-makers and the leaders of the most active companies.

In this edition, we return to several themes that will decisively shape 2026: the need for functional markets and predictable rules, the role of grids and interconnections, the pressure for flexibility and storage, the real pace of investments in renewables, the discipline of green financing, the maturation of energy projects, infrastructure digitalization, Neptun Deep and the redefinition of energy security in an increasingly complex regional and European context. All these topics are approached within an integrated framework, with an emphasis on implementation, financing, technology and Romania’s ability to turn opportunities into viable projects.

A few highlights from this issue

The interview with Jens Rasmussen, CEO and co-founder of Eurowind Energy, opens the edition with a message about the real pace of renewable energy investments and the need for Romania to approach large-scale projects with greater clarity, discipline and speed. The article captures a market that is both accelerating and becoming more selective, distinguishing between solid projects and those that cannot pass the test of bankability, grid access and execution. Alastair Hammond, CEO of Rezolv Energy, speaks about the evolution of one of the most visible renewable energy developers in the region and its progress toward the 2 GW threshold. The interview shows that large projects can no longer be assessed only in terms of installed capacity, but also through their ability to secure financing, connection, delivery and integration into an energy system that needs more flexible and better coordinated assets. The interview with Cristina Prună, Vice-President of the Committee for Industries and Services of the Chamber of Deputies, brings to the forefront the issue of European energy security and the role of interconnecting the eastern part of the European Union. In energy, her message is clear: the energy security of the entire Union cannot be built if the East remains poorly connected and insufficiently supported through investments in infrastructure, grids and regional corridors. The list of major contributions also includes other key voices for the market, among them Dragoș Pîslaru (Ministry of Investments and European Projects), Jesus Prado (Nextpower), Marius Cara (EIB), Manuela Trisnevschi (BCR), Andrei Râpeanu (EDP), Roxana Gureanu (Parapet), Cristian Secoșan (Delgaz Grid), Christina Verchere (OMV Petrom) and Gabor Mozga (MOL Romania). Each article contributes to the same broader picture: a sector that is moving forward, but one that increasingly depends on coherent rules, quality of execution and the ability of key players to turn plans into concrete results.

We maintain the magazine’s integrated structure, with sections dedicated to the main segments of the industry: macroeconomics, public policies, financing, markets, renewables, storage, electricity, natural gas, electric mobility and energy security. Each article adds a piece to a wider picture: the energy transition no longer means only “more green”, but also more security, flexibility and competitiveness for the economy.
