ANRE approved new capacities of Rompetrol and Eco Sun Oradea with a capacity of over 167 MW

ANRE approved today the establishment authorization for the construction of the new energy capacity of the Midia Năvodari Thermoelectric Cogeneration Power Plant, with an installed electric power of 77.8 MW. The investment is made through the Kazakh-Romanian Energy Investment Fund (FIEKR), and the total value of the project amounts to about 148 million USD. The estimated deadline for commissioning the new plant is the first half of 2023.

At the same time, ANRE approved the construction of a new solar park with a capacity of 90MW of Eco Sun Oradea.

”In the meeting of the ANRE Regulatory Committee on 13.07.2022, the following were discussed and approved: granting the Authorization to establish the new energy capacity Midia Năvodari Thermal Power Plant in Cogeneration, with installed electricity of 77.8 MW and maximum debit of 16.3 MW, to the company ROMPETROL ENERGY SA, with a validity period of 26 months; granting the Establishment Authorization for the realization of the new energy capacity Oradea Photovoltaic Power Plant (CEF), with the installed electric power of 90.035 MW and maximum debit of 86.565 MW, to the company ECO SUN ORADEA SRL, with a validity period of 15 months,” the ANRE release reads.
