Pavăl Holding recently founded the company Grunman Energy, which will produce electricity through photovoltaic power plants installed on the roofs of the seven Dedeman logistics centers in the country with the help of Simtel Team. In the first phase of the project, the installed capacity will be 35 MWp, but in the medium and long term, the goal is to reach a total installed capacity of over 400 MW.

Simtel Team has built 31 photovoltaic power plants for Dedeman in the past three years of partnership. The total capacity installed by Simtel on the roofs of Dedeman stores and logistics centers is of 8.8 MWp, of which 2.8 MWp, representing 7,467 photovoltaic panels, have been installed in the last 12 months alone in ten installations. Regarding the current activity, by the end of the year, the two companies intend to complete the installation of photovoltaic power plants at the Dedeman logistics centers in Pantelimon and Bacău, as well as on the roofs of stores in Bârlad, Bacău, Slatina and Petroșani.

“We are proud and honored by the collaboration with Dedeman that began more than three years ago. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to support the company on the road to energy efficiency through the construction of photovoltaic power plants and that we can continue to contribute to achieving Dedeman’s sustainability goals. At the same time, last year’s decision of Pavăl Holding to join Simtel as a shareholder, before the company’s listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, represented for us a confirmation of Dragoș and Adrian Pavăl’s trust in the team. I also feel in the development potential of our business. We thank them for their collaboration so far and look forward to our partnership, which aims to transform Dedeman into one of the greenest companies in Romania,” said Iulian Nedea, co-founder and CEO of Simtel Team.

The collaboration between Simtel and Dedeman started in 2019, the first projects being related to the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of three Dedeman stores in Bucharest – Pallady, Pantelimon and Colentina. Subsequently, the two companies continued to work together and today, the photovoltaic plants installed by Simtel are on the roofs of Dedeman stores and logistics centers across the country.

In Bucharest, in addition to the three parks mentioned, the company also installed photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of Dedeman stores in Băneasa and Ghencea. The largest capacity of 461.16 KWp is installed in the location in Băneasa, representing 1,229 photovoltaic panels. In the last 12 months, the total energy produced by the functional photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of Dedeman stores and logistics centers has been over 10,000 MWh, and emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere have been reduced by approximately 6,200 tons.

In addition to the installation and commissioning of photovoltaic power plants, the Simtel team is also responsible for the maintenance of photovoltaic panels. The maintenance process involves online monitoring, corrective remedies of any kind carried out within a maximum of six hours of any event and annual reviews to prevent the occurrence of any other potential unpleasant situations in the future. In addition, in the last 12 months, Simtel has installed 45 charging stations for electric cars in the parking lots of Dedeman stores, and it is responsible for their operation and maintenance.

“Caring for the environment has always been one of our organization’s priorities. The common goals and values we share with Simtel Team have been the foundation of the solid partnership we have built together in recent years. We thank them for their support and dedication and for the fact that they are with us on this path whose goal is to achieve the goal of becoming a green company, characterized by concrete actions and ongoing efforts aimed at sustainable development,” said Dragos Paval, President Dedeman.
