V. Popescu: Second session of the PNRR for the efficiency of consumption, in the amount of 80 mln. euro

The Ministry of Energy launched on Wednesday, December 14, the second session for obtaining financing from the PNRR for investments in projects intended to support investments in modernization, monitoring and efficiency of energy consumption at the level of economic operators in order to ensure energy efficiency in the industrial sector, it is stated in a statement published on the ministry’s Facebook page.

We reproduce, as follows, the full communique, signed by the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu.

“The second session is launched for obtaining financing from PNRR for investments in projects intended to support investments in modernization, monitoring and efficiency of energy consumption at the level of economic operators in order to ensure energy efficiency in the industrial sector.

  • Start date and time of project submission: December 14, 2022, 8:30 a.m.
  • Closing date and time for project submission: February 15, 2022, 5:00 p.m.

The investment measure implementation period will not exceed December 31, 2025!

The main objective pursued is to increase energy efficiency, by completing at least 50 energy efficiency projects in the industry.

The type of call is competitive, and eligible applicants are: micro-enterprises, SMEs, but also large enterprises and entities with legal personality registered in Romania.

The estimated total budget of the scheme is the equivalent in lei to the amount of 80,600,000 euros, composed of the approved budget for investment measure 5 in the amount of 62,000,000 euros and the additional amount related to over-contracting, in a percentage of 30%.”
