TeraPlast announces the completion of the acquisition of the polyethylene pipe plant in Spain. The plant was previously part of Aliaxis’ MASA division.
As stated in the initial announcement, the final value of the transaction will be determined based on a customary formula, starting from a base value of 6.7 million euros, which will be adjusted according to the actual level of working capital, in accordance with the mechanism agreed between the parties. The final value will be determined based on the financial statements as of June 30, in the following period.
The production facility is located in Okondo, in northern Spain, approximately 20 km from Bilbao, and has an annual production capacity of 16,000 tons. The factory serves a solid customer base in Spain, France and Germany and recorded a turnover of 29.4 million euros in 2025.
“The completion of this transaction turns a project into a reality. As of today, TeraPlast produces in Spain and begins the integration of a solid business, with valuable people, modern technology and an important customer base. We will apply here the same business model that has proven its efficiency in the other companies of the Group and I am convinced that we will build, over time, an equally high-performance operation. We invest where we see potential for development and profit. We have put another point of the Romanian industry on the map of Western Europe. We went to Spain to make a profit and become a much larger Group than we are today, and you will see the results here in each quarterly press release”, declared Dorel Goia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TeraPlast.
Over the next three years, TeraPlast will invest approximately 4 million euros to modernize and expand the production capacities of the factory, as well as to integrate it into the Group’s operational structure.
The production unit is equipped with modern European technology and is being taken over together with the local team of 79 employees.
With this investment, TeraPlast consolidates its position on the European market and continues its international development strategy. After expanding to the Republic of Moldova, Hungary, Austria and Croatia, Spain becomes the fifth foreign market in which the Group operates.
