TDI Renewables has secured €25.5 million in financing from Raiffeisen Bank International AG for the development of the Iratoșu photovoltaic project—a 58 MWp installation located in Arad County, according to the local media.
The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract was awarded in July to Ameresco Sunel Energy, which will manage the project through every phase—from design and procurement to construction, commissioning, and long-term operations. According to the British company, as reported by Profit.ro, the project will later be supplemented with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 88 MWh.
Based in London, TDI Renewables develops large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across Central and Eastern Europe. The company has been active in Romania since 2023, targeting a total portfolio of 1 GW of photovoltaic and wind assets in the market, alongside BESS installations with an aggregate capacity of 2,200 MWh. TDI Renewables is financially backed by the Israeli investment fund Helios Energy Investments, with whom it entered into a strategic partnership in 2024 to accelerate the development of its portfolios in Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, and Kosovo.
