Sungrow, a leading global provider of photovoltaic inverters and energy storage systems (ESS), announced the signing of a landmark agreement with ENEVO Group, a Romanian leader in energy solutions, for a series of energy storage system projects with a total capacity of 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh) in Romania. This landmark partnership highlights the growing confidence in Sungrow’s advanced storage technology and the company’s commitment to supporting Europe’s rapid transition to renewable energy.

The first phase of the collaboration includes projects worth 440 MWh ordered earlier this year, scheduled for delivery before December 2026. A subsequent phase adds another 560 MWh, bringing the total capacity to over 1 GWh once all projects are completed. All systems will be deployed in Romania and will utilize the internationally awarded PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) — a benchmark solution for supporting large-scale power grids and integrating renewable energy.

As the demand for flexible, reliable and secure energy storage solutions continues to grow in Europe, Sungrow is strengthening its leadership position by providing technologically advanced, bankable and fully supported ESS solutions. The PowerTitan series has already been successfully deployed in numerous utility-scale projects in the region, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus and Bulgaria, demonstrating both the reliability of Sungrow’s technology and strong local operational support capability.

“Great partnerships start with a common vision, shared ambition and a clear understanding of market direction. Our collaboration with Sungrow started in the solar sector and has developed into a broader strategic partnership, now expanding into battery energy storage through this 1 GWh agreement. Together we are accelerating the integration of BESS with renewable energy generation, while supporting ENEVO’s ambition to become a leading EPC contractor for large-scale battery energy storage systems in the region,” said Radu Brașoveanu, CTO and co-founder of ENEVO Group. “The trust our partners place in Sungrow is at the heart of our continued growth,” said James Li, Vice President Sungrow Europe, responsible for ESS. “We are truly honored to collaborate with ENEVO Group on this 1 GWh landmark project portfolio in Romania. Our team remains fully committed to providing exceptional customer support at every stage — from design and delivery to commissioning and operation — ensuring the long-term success of the projects and energy security for our partners.”

This strategic agreement between Sungrow and ENEVO Group further strengthens Sungrow’s status as the No. 1 globally bankable company in PV, ESS and PCS, according to BloombergNEF rankings, and highlights its expanded presence in one of the most dynamic energy storage markets in Europe.
