PPC Blue Romania, part of the PPC group in Romania, has signed a partnership with Dedeman to install and operate electric vehicle charging stations in the DIY retailer’s national network of stores.
“Charging your electric car should be as easy as visiting a store. We want every electric vehicle driver in Romania to have a charging station at hand, regardless of the city they live in — and that’s why the partnership with Dedeman means so much to us. Together we reach places where people come anyway, whether they live in a big city or a smaller town. We offer them charging where they go. For us, this means affordable electric mobility: something concrete, available today, in the parking lot close to home,” said Andreea-Dana Popescu, General Manager of PPC Blue Romania.
“At Dedeman, we aim to build more than just commercial spaces; we want to develop a useful ecosystem adapted to the modern lifestyle of our customers. Expanding the infrastructure for electric mobility, through collaboration with PPC Blue, is a natural step in a society where sustainable solutions are becoming increasingly important. We want every visit to our stores to offer not only access to quality products and services, but also facilities that simplify everyday life. We constantly invest in projects with long-term impact, oriented towards people’s comfort, community development and environmental protection,” said Dragoș Pavăl, President of Dedeman.
As part of this partnership, PPC blue will install charging stations in over 60 Dedeman stores and in 2 logistics warehouses — where stations dedicated to electric trucks will be located. The network will exceed 600 charging points, with a total installed power of over 30 MW.
At the same time, the approximately 60 points already existing in Dedeman locations will be integrated into the PPC blue application, ensuring continuity and uniform quality standards for customers who already use them.
The first stations will be installed in the cities of Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Roman, Alexandria, Târgu Jiu and Onești, starting with December. By the end of 2026, the installation will be completed in 21 stores, with priority being given to communities where the charging infrastructure needs development.
In Romania, PPC blue operates over 1,100 charging points in all counties, with a total installed power of over 36 MW, doubling not only the number of points, but also the number of fast and ultra-fast charging stations. PPC blue offers integrated electric mobility solutions to residential customers, companies and public institutions throughout the country.
The PPC blue application can be downloaded from the AppStore or Google Play. This allows viewing the available charging stations and choosing the charging services suitable for users’ needs (subscriptions or Charge & Pay). Through the application, users can organize their trips and use both PPC blue charging stations in Romania and Greece. In fact, the PPC Blue Romania company is the first in the country to offer customers subscriptions for charging with included units (1 unit = 1 kWh), also offering free towing service. Depending on the level of consumption, there are three options: PPC blueLite (60 charging units included), PPC bluePlus (120 charging units included) and PPC blueMax (200 charging units included). Customers can charge using the mobile application or an RFID card associated with the active profile.
