Patria Bank, a Romanian bank focused on supporting local entrepreneurial companies, listed on the Regulated Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announces the signing of a renewable energy supply contract with Alive Capital, an integrated energy services and supply platform. Through this initiative, Patria Bank aligns its own energy consumption with the green economy financing strategy. Thus, all Patria Bank branches in Romania will use green energy provided by Alive Capital, certified by guarantees of origin, the credit institution announces.
Patria Bank continues to support Romania’s energy transition by expanding its collaboration with Alive Capital, both by providing green energy for the bank’s operations in Romania and by financing the renewable energy infrastructure developed by its affiliated company Alive Energy, in an integrated model that directly connects green energy production with consumption.
In this context, Patria Bank financed in 2026 the investments developed by Alive Energy, Omnia Capital’s renewable production subholding, including the Vânători project, one of the first hybridization projects of a wind farm in Romania. It involves completing the existing 10 MW park with a 5 MW photovoltaic plant and a 2.5 MW / 10 MWh co-located storage system.
The collaboration between Patria Bank and Alive Capital reflects a partnership model built on efficiency, integration and sustainability. The capital finances the infrastructure that produces green energy. The energy generated is consumed directly in Patria Bank’s operations. Thus, production and consumption are connected through a shorter, more efficient and more stable energy chain, built on integration, predictability and sustainability.
“By collaborating with the companies of the Omnia Capital holding, we support both the development of renewable energy infrastructure and the integration of sustainability into the bank’s operational activity. It is a concrete example that shows how green financing can generate direct impact on the economy and long-term value. We thank our partners Alive Capital and Alive Energy for the trust they have placed in our commercial relationship,” said Valentin Vancea, CEO of Patria Bank.
“We are pleased to contribute to the energy transition of Patria Bank’s operations by providing certified green energy. The partnership demonstrates how the production, storage, supply and consumption of green energy can function in an integrated and efficient ecosystem. It is an approach that transforms sustainability from a strategic objective into a concrete operational decision,” added Giacomo Billi, Founder and CEO of Alive Capital and Alive Energy.
The financed portfolio includes the Vânători hybrid power plant, consisting of a 10 MWp wind farm, already operational, as well as a 4.99 MWp photovoltaic plant and a 2.5 MW/10 MWh battery storage system, which are under construction. In addition, the Valea Călugărească photovoltaic plant, with a capacity of 8.30 MWp, and the Mărășeni photovoltaic plant, with a capacity of 3.46 MWp, both already in operation. The investment represents an advanced model of integrating renewable energy production and energy flexibility, by combining wind, photovoltaic and battery storage capacities within the same infrastructure.
The partnership expands the commercial relationship between Patria Bank and the companies of the Omnia Capital B.V. holding company. (Alive Capital and Alive Energy), consolidating a long-term collaboration, built on shared values and principles regarding sustainability, energy efficiency, integration and concrete support for the green economy.
