Bucharest City Hall today completed the tender for the awarding of contracts for the refurbishment of 210 km of primary heating network, the main lots being won by Elsaco, Erbașu and Electromontaj, announced the Capital’s mayor, Nicușor Dan.

The total value of the projects is of 260 million euro, of which 200 million represent European funds, and the rest – attracted sources.

“We have completed the tender for the awarding of contracts for the rehabilitation of 210 km of the primary heating network, a project financed by European funds within the Large Infrastructure Operational Program (POIM). The procedure was divided into 5 lots, with a length of about 40 km each.

For three of these, we have awarded the design and build contracts, and for the other two we have named the winners. After signing the contracts, the design stage will be started, and the execution works will start in the spring of next year,” Nicușor Dan wrote on Facebook.

“The deadline for completing the works is of 4 years. The total value of the investment is of 260 million euro. Of this amount, 200 million euro represent the European financing, and for the difference of 60 million euro we will contract a loan or apply to obtain non-refundable funds.”
