The production and supply of electricity and heat is expected to increase by 0.5% this year compared to 2025, and will continue to increase slightly in the next three years, according to the Projection of the main macroeconomic indicators 2026 – 2029, published by the National Commission for Strategy and Prognosis.

Thus, in 2027 the production and supply of electricity and heat are estimated to increase by 2%, in 2028 by 2.4% and in 2029 by 1.9%.

Overall, according to CNSP estimates, industrial production will decrease by 0.8% in 2026, after which it will start to increase by 1.7% in 2027, 2.3% in 2028 and 2% in 2029, according to Agerpres.

After an estimated increase of 0.8% in 2026, production in the extractive industry will continue its upward trend, with the advance to be 3.6% in 2027, 5% in 2028 and 4.5% in 2029. However, the extraction of crude oil and natural gas will decrease by 3.3% in 2026, by 0.5% in 2027, will rise slightly by 0.5% in 2028, after which it will return to minus in 2029 (-0.4%).

In the manufacturing industry, production will decline by 1% in 2026 and then increase by 1.5% in 2027, 2.1% in 2028 and 1.9% in 2029.
