The rapid launch of the Rabla Program for subsidizing individuals and increasing its predictability, as well as the clarification of some provisions regarding vehicle eligibility and the required documentation were among the topics addressed in a public debate organized by the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MMAP).
According to a post published by the relevant ministry on the institution’s Facebook page, the meeting moderated by State Secretary Raul Pop was also attended by Aura Anca Roxana Cristea – Director General of the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) and Tudor Roșca – Director of the Minister’s Cabinet, along with representatives of the automotive industry and the main manufacturers and importers of motor vehicles, professional associations in the automotive and operational leasing sectors.
Public institutions and authorities with responsibilities in the field of investments and digitalization, the business environment, the financial sector, consulting companies, non-governmental organizations, mass media and individual beneficiaries also expressed their views on this subject, according to Agerpres.
The main topics addressed were: launching the ‘Rabla’ Program as quickly as possible and increasing its predictability, simplifying administrative procedures and reducing processing times, clarifying provisions regarding vehicle eligibility and the necessary documentation, streamlining the settlement process for validated manufacturers, the criteria regarding the origin of eligible vehicles and their impact on the market, as well as the level of financial incentives for low-emission and 100% electric vehicles.
In addition, measures to encourage the removal of old vehicles actually used from circulation were discussed, as well as increasing transparency and improving communication with beneficiaries and validated manufacturers.
“The participants presented proposals, observations and examples of good practices from other states, emphasizing the need for an efficient, predictable program adapted to the current realities of the automotive market and environmental objectives. All proposals formulated during the debate and those received by email will be analyzed in the process of finalizing the regulatory act,” the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries states.
