Electro-Alfa International ended the first half of 2026 with consolidated revenue of 364.3 million lei, up 18.1%, EBITDA of 37.2 million lei and a net profit of 27.9 million lei, 8.4% above the H1 2025 level.
Beyond the overall growth, however, the report shows divergent trends across the main business lines. The manufacturing segment generated external revenue of 206.8 million lei and an operating profit of 17.7 million lei, both above the comparable-period levels.
By contrast, the EPC business recorded higher revenue but lower profitability. Segment revenue increased by 15.3%, to 153.6 million lei, while operating profit fell from 17.6 million lei to 13.6 million lei, corresponding to an operating margin of approximately 8.8%.
The company attributes the development to the revenue mix and the cost structure of the projects executed during the period under review, without detailing the individual contribution of raw material costs, subcontracting or different project types.
Another relevant element of the report is the emergence of BESS and railway infrastructure as separate reportable segments. In the case of energy storage, this reflects the integration into the group of the activities developed following the acquisition of Solar Technologies Consulting and the 51.44 MW BESS project in Șelimbăr. The half-year report does not indicate any new relevant timeline for the construction or operation of the project; the new element is its integration into the business structure as a separately reported segment.
Electro-Alfa also continues to have significant exposure to international markets. Approximately one third of sales come from exports, with the company mentioning deliveries to the United States as well as projects in Ukraine.
“During the first half of the year, we expanded into energy storage and railway infrastructure, strengthened our engineering capabilities and continued to develop our manufacturing capacity. These are deliberate steps to broaden the markets we address and increase the scale and complexity of the projects we deliver,” said Gheorghe Ciubotaru, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Electro-Alfa International.
The liquidity position is also substantial. As of 30 June, the group reported approximately 107.7 million lei in cash and cash equivalents and around 430.5 million lei in short-term bank deposits, while bank borrowings stood at approximately 54.8 million lei.
