Hidroelectrica announces the signing of the contract for the construction of the Tudor Vladimirescu Photovoltaic Power Plant, in Brăila County, a project worth 151.2 million lei.

According to a press release, the contract was awarded through an open tender to Enevo Group SRL, in accordance with Law no. 99/2016 on sectoral procurement, and its value is lower than initially estimated, namely 158.6 million lei (excluding VAT).

The power plant will have approximately 70,676 photovoltaic panels with a nominal power of 650 Wp each, connected via 184 three-phase inverters to nine collector transformer stations.

“The signing of this contract represents another concrete step in the transformation of Hidroelectrica from a pure hydroelectric producer into an integrated player in the green energy sector in Romania. Tudor Vladimirescu is not just a solar park – it is a clear signal that Hidroelectrica is changing. We want to be relevant in the energy landscape of Romania tomorrow, not just today”, said Bogdan Badea – CEO Hidroelectrica.

The new plant will have an installed capacity of 45.94 MWp and an estimated production of 59.21 GWh/year.

The total duration of the contract is 36 months, of which 24 months represent the actual execution period.

“The award procedure was carried out entirely in electronic format through the SEAP platform (e-licitație.ro), the award criterion being the best quality-price ratio, with 80% weight for the financial component and 20% for the technical warranty period offered in addition to the minimum of 60 months provided for in the specifications”, the press release states.

Hidroelectrica is the largest renewable energy producer in Romania, with a portfolio of 188 hydroelectric power plants and one wind power plant, with a total capacity of 6.5 GW, of which the Crucea wind farm with 108 MW installed.

At the same time, the company is the largest electricity supplier in Romania, both in the competitive segment and in the total market.
