FPPG has launched the ENERGAZ student contest – Write the future of energy!

On October 5, the contest “ENERGAZ – Write the future of energy!” In its second edition, organized by the Federation of Petroleum and Gas Employers (FPPG) through the Gaz de România platform and addressed to students enrolled at any faculty in Romania, bachelor’s or master’s level. ENERGAZ is organized this year in the form of an essay contest, with the general theme “Design yourself in 2030. Natural gas for the Next Generation”.

The contest will run for seven weeks, until November 22. Participants have the chance to win one of the two weekly prizes, as well as the grand prize worth 1,200 euros.

“We, the Gaz de România team, encourage you to be agents of positive change and to express your ideas on the role of natural gas in the sustainable development of Romania until 2030, in the context of the new European Green Pact,” the competition presentation said.

Participants can choose among 7 different topics, including “The economic, geostrategic and social role that the natural gas sector can play in the sustainable development of Romania until 2030” or “The future of heating in Romania, in a low carbon footprint manner, at the same time accessible and handy”.

Students can participate in the contest with one essay per week, with the possibility to enter up to 3 essays (each with a different theme) in 3 different weeks.

The 2-4 pages essay should be formatted according to the requirements: Times News Roman, 12, normal, margin 2.54, indent for the first sentence of each paragraph. The essays will be evaluated by a Jury that includes journalists specialized in the energy field, among them Gabriel Avăcăriței, Chief Editor of Energynomics.

2 weekly prizes will be awarded for 6 weeks, in a total value of 1,800 euros (prize 1 – 200 euros, prize 2 – 100 euros).

The grand prize will be chosen at the end of the competition from the 12 winners from the previous weeks. In the 7th week, if you are among the 12 winners of the week, you will have to send a video presentation of maximum 2 minutes (this must contain the presentation of the essay with which you entered the race for the grand prize).

Based on the essays and presentations, the jury will award a single grand prize worth 1,200 euros.
