ANRE will get access to ACER systems

National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) announced that it will get access to ACER systems.

“ANRE has fulfilled all the requirements established by the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) regarding the implementation of data security systems regarding the integrity and transparency of the wholesale energy market, pursuant to Regulation (EU) no. 1227/2011 (REMIT). The Audit Commission, composed of representatives of ACER and representatives of other regulatory authorities, validated the compliance of ANRE security policies with the requirements of the European Agency for Security and Data Integrity REMIT,” the institution announced.

Following the completion of the audit process, ANRE will receive access to ACER systems and will be able to analyze or use in investigations the data collected by the European agency. The aim is to increase the transparency and stability of European energy markets and to combat market manipulation, for the benefit of the final consumer.

Granting access to REMIT data also means intensifying collaboration, in particular on energy and gas market monitoring, with other regulators of European Union countries, such as Germany, France, Lithuania, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy. , Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, which have been audited and meet security requirements.
