Energy Law Summer School reaches it`s second edition this year, aiming to build a platform for discussing and debating an extremely vast and challenging field of the law, with a strong resonance for the future. Our summer school represents an exciting chance to participate in a programme that can shape the legal education of students towards a branch in a continuous expansion.Alongside Banking and Finance Summer Law School, the Energy Law Summer School has been a part of ELSA Bucharest`s annual agenda since 2014.

The project involves many activities, courses and training seminars and workshops ranging from academic debate to question sessions, all conducted in a professional academic environment

This event focuses on complex and modern issues regarding energy law, aiming at enhancing students knowledge in a more applied manner and also rise awareness upon a practice area of great importance. Consequently, the purpose of this summer school is to provide a global perspective of this law field to its participants, and beyond that, to make them understand the practical cases ongoing in this field. The event will bring together students, high qualified lawyers and specialists in Energy Law.

The experience of our previous summer school sustained many positive remarks from the participants, such as:

“Going to summer school is one of those opportunities that enrich the lives of those who venture. In Brasov, I love the harmony between an attractive academic program and the social component, which could not be more interesting, in a place where converged so many different nationalities and cultures. The best advice I can give you? Just pack your bags!”

“The Energy Law Summer School was a remarkable experience, that allowed me not only to get informed about the latest and most intriguing matters on the energy sector, but also to connect with students and practitioners with different views and ideas. I am definitely looking forward to the next edition”.

Reflecting the importance and effectiveness of extracurricular education through non-formal methods, Energy Law International Summer School is a source of information in one of the key sectors nowadays. The project involves many activities, courses and training seminars and workshops ranging from academic debate to question sessions, all conducted in a professional academic environment. The academic agenda is formed of 6 days of lectures and workshops and will end with a negotiation.

The Energy Law Summer School aims at enhancing the theoretical and practical knowledge of young people relative to the field of energy law and increasing the participants’ access to knowledge that is complementary to official school curricula. At the same time, the project seeks to offer an in-depth view of the practical application that energy can have in the real world from a legal perspective.

We are looking forward to seeing you this summer in one of the most resourceful and beautiful places in Romania, Poiana Braşov, where among the various seminars, workshops and lectures, you are bound to have an experience that will meaningfully shape your professional and personal development.
