Enel: 140,000 household consumers opted for offers on the competitive market in Q1


Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia reached the largest number of customers in the competitive electricity market in Romania. Out of the about 2.9 million household customers in the portfolio of the two supply companies within Enel in Romania, 76% already benefit from competitive contracts, the largest share amongst all large electricity suppliers in the country.

Following the information campaigns carried out by the two supply companies last year and continued in 2021, along with the letters sent to customers with their monthly bills, almost 140,000 household consumers opted for offers on the competitive market in the first quarter of this year, 40% more compared to the same period last year.

Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia continue the consumer information campaign on the energy market liberalization and launched “Everything about liberalization”, a series of video interviews meant to answer to the most frequently asked questions received from customers on this topic.

With the help of Enel specialists, consumers can find out what are the main changes in the electricity market following the liberalization process, how to choose the offer that best meets their needs and what to pay attention to when concluding a supply contract.

At the same time, the video interviews explain what will happen after June 30, 2021, when the period of commercial discounts offered to customers in the universal service expires.
