Solutions provider Servelect has installed a photovoltaic power plant for global leader in industrial automation technology and software Emerson, according to Transilvania Business.

“The 879 kWp photovoltaic power plant for Emerson is an investment that represents an important step towards sustainability, integrating green energy into the company’s operations. Emerson is a company recognized worldwide for promoting sustainability, both through decarbonization solutions for customers and through measures to reduce the carbon footprint of its own headquarters. By 2045, the company has set itself the goal of achieving carbon neutrality in all direct operations, globally. In Romania, Emerson stands out through investments in renewable energy (installation of photovoltaic panels), energy efficiency in buildings and initiatives dedicated to the community. These projects contribute to reducing the impact on the environment and supporting the local economy,” according to the implementation team.

“The on-grid system, comprising 1,500 monocrystalline photovoltaic panels, was installed on the roofs of two production halls and will cover a significant part of the company’s electricity consumption. The panels are mounted on K2, D-Dome type metal structures, a system that offers optimal surface use and high yields for terrace-type roofs. The photovoltaic plant will produce an estimated 902 MWh of green energy per year, contributing to reducing energy consumption from conventional sources and the company’s carbon footprint,” according to Servelect.

“Collaborating with Emerson on the project has shown us that we share the same vision for sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions. Each photovoltaic plant we install represents a double achievement for us. It brings us closer to fulfilling our mission to install smart local energy production and storage sources of at least 500 MW by 2040. Each project represents an essential contribution to the sustainable development of our beneficiaries, supporting them in the energy transition towards climate neutrality,” said Iulia Bărgăuan, CEO of Servelect.

The Cluj-Napoca-based engineering and energy services company implements integrated projects to optimize energy consumption, reduce operational costs and decarbonize, by evaluating and gradually eliminating the CO2 footprint.
