Electroalfa International has invested over 500,000 euros in the last two years in the development of a modern training center for employees, part of a larger initiative – Alfa Academy, dedicated to professional training in technical fields. The investment includes the arrangement of a 100-seat amphitheater and training spaces that reproduce production workshops on a real scale.

In addition to this investment, the company has allocated additional funds worth over 100,000 euros for dual education programs, carried out in partnership with technological high schools and universities in the region, as well as for internship programs carried out in factories. So far, over 250 students have benefited from support within these programs, either through internships, scholarships or applied training.

Such investments come against a background of concern for the Romanian labor market, which is facing an acute shortage of well-trained labor in technical fields. According to Eurostat data, only 18.7% of young people were employed in 2023, compared to a European average of 35.2%, and youth unemployment stood at over 20% in Romania last year. The situation is even more difficult in rural areas and small towns, where the lack of employment opportunities significantly limits the integration of young people into the labor market.

Alfa Academy operates as an integrated platform, with four strategic directions: training of management teams, qualification of new employees, polyqualification, which allows employees to adapt to multiple trades and dual education, addressed to future employees.

This last direction, that of dual education, is supported by a network of educational partnerships that creates the link between the school environment and the industry. Students from four technological high schools in Botoșani County participate annually in internships in Electroalfa factories, in stamping, welding and mechanical locksmithing workshops, under the coordination of tutors and accompanying teachers.

At the university level, the partnership with the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava brings a dual education model, active until 2026. Students work three days a week in the company and two days attend classes, benefiting from a monthly scholarship and employment contract. Currently, 11 students are enrolled in the program, with the objective of reaching 20 scholarships in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Through the Alfa Academy, Electroalfa International has created more than a training program, it has created a space where passion, courage and learning meet to open new paths.
