Electro-Alfa International (BVB: EAI), a Romanian manufacturer of electrical equipment and provider of EPC and IT services listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, has announced the establishment of Alfa New Protocol Engineering, a new energy engineering firm dedicated to complex energy infrastructure projects.
The new company is the result of a partnership between Electro-Alfa International and New Protocol Group, a Romanian company specializing in renewable energy, technology integration, and innovative solutions for large-scale energy projects. Electro-Alfa International holds 51% of the share capital of Alfa New Protocol Engineering, while New Protocol Group holds 49%. “The partnership with New Protocol Group represents a strategic step in strengthening our design and engineering capabilities,” said George Ciubotaru, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Electro-Alfa International.
Alfa New Protocol Engineering will operate as an engineering, consulting, and technical project management center focused on complex energy projects, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary integration and direct implementation support. The company targets both the Romanian market and foreign markets, such as the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
The initial service portfolio includes technical design for energy projects with voltage levels between 20 kV and 400 kV, covering electricity distribution and transmission infrastructure, primary and secondary installations, protection systems, command-and-control systems, automation, and related civil engineering works.
The company will also provide design and integration services for renewable energy plants and energy storage systems, technical studies, specialized consulting, technical support for implementation, and the optimization of technical and commercial proposals. “We believe that the next stage in the development of the energy sector will not be defined solely by installed capacity, but by projects that are properly designed, intelligently integrated and responsibly delivered,” said Grațian Fierăscu, CEO of New Protocol Group.
New Protocol Group has over 10 years of cumulative experience in design, applied research, and innovation in the energy sector, complemented by expertise in project management and the implementation of complex energy projects. The company contributes patented technological solutions and applied know-how to increase efficiency, digitize, and optimize energy infrastructure.
