The company stage of the 2021 edition of the professional contest “Trofeul Electricianului”, held in Piatra Neamț, ended after three days in which over 120 electricians and engineers from Delgaz Grid, and also 12 young future electricians from specialized high schools took theoretical and practical tests. A number of 27 of them climbed the podium in the 9 specializations of the competition.
Six electricians from Suceava, four from Bacău and Neamț, three from Botoșani and Vaslui and one from Iași climbed the podium in the applause of the audience.

In the Medium voltage network dispatcher section, the first and third places went to Bacău, and the second place to Iași.

At the Junior Electrician’s Trophy, the first place was awarded to a student from the Technical College “Dimitrie Leonida” from Iaşi, and the second and third places by students from the Technical College “Samoil Isopescu” from Suceava.

“We are at a festive moment – the Electrician’s Trophy, a competition that is a bridge between our history and the future, one that we believe will be predominantly electric and sustainable. We have always seen the professionalism, involvement and effort of those who work in the operational area. Congratulations to all competitors,” said Dragoș Bărbulescu, general manager of Delgaz Grid.

Also this year, during the event were present at the exhibition manufacturers of equipment, materials, devices and tools, measuring equipment specific to the field.

The 2021 edition was a very special one: the competitors, but also the members of the evaluation commissions had to face not only the technical and labor protection challenges, but also those imposed by the epidemiological context.

The event included, for the fifth year, the Junior Electrician Trophy section, a section attended by students from four educational units with energy classes: “Dimitrie Leonida” Technical College from Iaşi, “Nicolae Vasilescu-Karpen” Technical Communications College from Bacău, “Samoil Isopescu” Technical College from Suceava and “Ștefan Procopiu” High School from Vaslui.

The Electrician’s Trophy is a traditional event, probably the longest and largest professional competition in Romania. The history of the competition begins in 1977 and is closely related to Moldova, the first edition taking place in Iasi.
