The neutrality target set for 2050 following the Green Deal approved by the European Union seems rather distant, but the environmental and energy requirements need to be met in advance; this is why this time horizon is not far away, said Adrian Paraschiv, Country Manager Photomate, at the 8th annual edition of Spring Cocktail, a concept event organized by Energynomics.

“20 years ago, when I was a student, I dreamed together with my college colleagues on solar panels to supply energy to homes. Now that is the reality. Currently, energy production and consumption in the European Union account for 75% of greenhouse gases. In 2019, renewable energy accounted for 19,7% of the Union’s energy consumption, just 0,3 percentage points away from the 20% target. The share of green energy used for transport activities was 8,9%. These are figures that we need to improve, first and foremost to improve the quality of life,” said Adrian Paraschiv.

Photomate is in the unique position to help any customer who develops solar projects by connecting solutions from its partners Huawei and xelectrix, such as solar technology, inverters and storage. “If 2020 was more like a pause year, 2021 started very strongly and we received a lot of requests in respect to the renewable sector and storage too. Now energy storage has become practical, at costs everyone can afford. I think that starting this year and from here on we will a tremendous change in the energy market, energy production and energy consumption,” he said.

At the same time, the PV sector has a unique opportunity to connect with the hydrogen segment. “I believe that the use of solar energy and the synthesis of hydrogen will have a decisive impact in the future”.

This conference Spring Cocktail 2021 was organized by Energynomics, with the support of our partners: AON România, Automobile Bavaria, Electrica Furnizare, Hidroelectrica, ING Bank România, OMV Petrom, PeWeTe, Photomate, Siemens.

Almost 250 people joined the MyConnector platform to watch the LIVE event and the speeches.
