Volkswagen’s new electric car, ID.3, managed, in a factory test, to break all consumption records of this model so far, on a route that started from the plant in Zwickau (Germany) and ended in Switzerland. Volkswagen ID.3 officially covered 531 kilometers with a single battery charge, as shown by the data transmitted by the company, at the end of a test, according to Profit.ro.

The car was charged at the plant in Zwickau, where it was produced, and ran out of electricity in the battery after 531 kilometers, in the area of Schaffhausen.

The official value of the autonomy declared by the manufacturer on the WLTP methodology, imposed by the EU, is of 420 km. The value obtained in the test thus exceeds by more than 100 km this autonomy. The model used in this consumption test was taken directly from the production line and is a 1st Pro Performance version, with a 58 kWh battery, with an engine that provides 204 of hp.
