Transgaz greenlighted to start the 360 mln. euro works at the Podisor pipeline

The Ministry of Energy has issued the decision that allows Transgaz to start the works of the Podişor pipeline, which will unite the Black Sea platforms with the national transport system as well as the future BRUA project. The estimated total project value is EUR 360.4 million and the estimated timeframe of completion is 2021.

„Transgaz obtained the right to start works on the project of common interest in Natural Gas Conduct Black Sea Coast – Gas Supply Board of the Black Sea, following the issuance by the Ministry of Energy of Decision no. 4 / 25.04.2019”, the company announced.

Ion Sterian, general manager of Transgaz, mentions in his statement that the project of common interest in natural gas „Conduct Black Sea Coast – Podişor for taking over the Black Sea gas”, strengthens the strategic role that the company has both in the European and national energy infrastructure sector.

The route of the project follows the general direction from Southeast to West, crossing the counties Constanta, Calarasi and Giurgiu.
