The National Electricity Transport Company Transelectrica ended the first nine months of this year with a net profit of 74 million lei, down 25% compared to the same period last year, according to data released to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The total operating revenues achieved during the first 9 months registered a decrease of 3%, from 1.832 billion lei in 2018 to 1.783 billion lei, an evolution mainly determined by the operating income related to the zero profit activity (technological system services and balancing market).

The revenues from the technological system services registered a decrease compared to the same period of the year 2018 with the amount of 11.9 million lei, as a result of the decrease of the regulated tariff approved by ANRE, in the conditions of a insignificant increase of the quantity of electricity delivered to the consumers, by 0.1%, respectively, with 25.8 MWh. Revenues on the balancing market decreased by 92.6 million lei, according to Agerpres.

The total operating expenses (including depreciation) realized in January – September 2019 registered a slight decrease (1%) compared to the same period of the previous year (ROL 1.694 billion compared to ROL 1.718 billion at 9 months of 2018).

The gross profit decreased by 23%, from 108 million lei to 83 million lei.
