The budget for ElectricUp ups to 600 million lei for 1,825 beneficiaries

The Ministry of Energy has published an additional list of 183 beneficiaries accepted in the ElectricUp program. They add to the 1,642 companies previously confirmed. In November 2021, only 1,430 companies knew that they would receive financing, the rest remaining outside the budget of 476 million lei approved for this session. However, the sum of the approved budgets communicated now indicates a total budget of almost 600 million lei.

Launched in December 2020, the ElectricUp program looks like it is finally getting closer to the start of the works on the ground. According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy, there will be a period for submitting bids and then the contracting phase.

The companies admitted at this moment will receive on average about 327,000 lei each. There are 56 companies that obtained the maximum score (100 points). With one exception, all of them requested and received amounts close to the maximum ceiling – 500,000 lei. In total, there are now 722 investment projects worth over 400,000 lei. In other words, around 57% of ElectricUp’s budget will go to them. Small projects, under 150,000 lei, are less, only 190 from the list of those presented by the Ministry of Energy.

ElectricUp is a financing program for small and medium-sized enterprises and in the field of HORECA launched on December 4, 2020, to support the installation of photovoltaic panel systems, as well as charging stations for plug-in hybrid electric and electric vehicles.
