Registration for the third edition of the Central European Day of Energy (CEDE) is open until 29th of October. The event will be held on 5th of November 2018, 12h30, Berlaymont Building, Schuman room, Brussels, with the participation of Maroš Sefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of the Energy Union, Jerzy Buzek, Member of the European Parliament, Chairman of ITRE Committee and other high-level EU officials.

The 3rd CEDE edition will focus on cross-border energy cooperation in Central Europe. It will consist of an opening session and two debate panels. The high-level conference aims to bring together more than 100 stakeholders from the European Institutions, national administrations, energy and energy-intensive companies, academics, experts and journalists from EU – 11, in order to provide an exchange forum between participants and to consolidate a regional energy platform.

CEDE 2018 enjoys the support of the Visegrad International Fund and is held under the Auspices of the Slovak Presidency of the Visegrad Group.

About the organizer

Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) represents the interests of the energy and energy-intensive companies from Central Europe in order to promote balanced energy transition in accordance with technological neutrality principle, enhance regional cooperation and strengthen the region’s energy security within the framework of EU energy and climate policy.

The over-riding goal of the organization is to influence over the EU decision making bodies to shape the EU energy and climate policy by taking into account the interests and views of Central European companies. CEEP members are 13 energy and energy-intensive companies and organizations from four Central European countries, employing over 100,000 workers, with total annual revenue of more than EUR 20 billion.

CEEP is an international non-profit association with its headquarters in Brussels. It is the first major body to represent the companies from the region’s energy sector at the EU level.
