Signify has announced the launch of a voluntary replacement program for certain Philips Hue outdoor lighting units, which in rare cases could pose a risk to user safety.

A small number of power supplies may fail in certain situations due to water infiltration into the electrical equipment, causing a short circuit.

In very rare cases, this could pose a safety risk to users if it is reached in humid conditions.

The replacement program aims to change the power supplies, as part of the basic packages for Philips Hue Lily, Lily XL, Calla, Econic and Impress, marketed between 2018 and 2020 in Europe, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

The program does not include power supplies for Philips Hue outdoor LED strips.
