Romelectro will build in the next two years in Timișoara, together with the german company Baumgarte Boiler Systems, a production facility of power and heat from the processing of municipal waste, says Mediafax. The installation, a first for Romania, will cost nearly 60 million euros and will be located in Timișoara Thermo Power Sud.

Romelectro stresses that many of the project’s activities will be conducted with local companies. “Most subcontractors who will participate in the design, execution of works and commissioning of the facilities are Romanian companies. (…) The contract was awarded after an open tender organized by SC International Recycling Energy SA Timișoara”, reads the Romelectro comunique.

Romelectro is a full service company heavily involved in energy and environmental projects. Baumgarte Boiler Systems is a provider of equipment and systems for generating power from sources such as gas, coal, biomass, municipal waste and industrial waste.
