The Romanian state will have to pay the German energy company E.ON compensation of 2 million euros, which represents the costs of a dispute that Romania has filed at an arbitration court in Paris and lost it.

The state accused E.ON that it has not made the promised investments in the privatization contract of the former Electrica Moldova and asked the German company to pay 33 million euros. But the Paris Commercial Court gave credit to the germans of E.ON.

The trial with E.ON is just one of the disputes between the state and companies that privatized the electricity distribution network in Romania. Most important will be the verdict given in the conflict with italians of Enel, to which the state requests a compensation of 500 million euros. The reason is the same, writes economica.net.
The failure of the privatization contract. Enel took over Electrica Muntenia Sud. Romania is represented at the Court of Arbitration by the company incorporated last year to manage the minority stakes that the state holds in the distribution companies.
