Bioeconomy and Energy Efficiency in Agri-Food Industry

Specialists in energy and agriculture join forces and launch a campaign aimed at informing and creating awareness about the opportunities, present and future challenges in the economy of resources. energynomics.ro and TMT PR took the initiative to start a campaign about models of using energy in a more efficient way, all within the framework of a transitional process towards a more competitive economy – “Bioeconomy and Energy Efficiency in Agri-Food Industry”.

About the campaign

The campaign is created with the scope of informing and educating the Romanian decision-makers in the agriculture and food industry, public authorities and companies (start‑ups, SMEs, large enterprises). Our objective is to stimulate dialogue and cooperation between decision makers from the two related industries for a better understanding of the needs and benefits of applying energy audits, offering in the same time, best practices of actions and technologies created for increasing energy efficiency.

The campaign will be deployed in Romanian, under the title „Bioeconomy and energy efficiency in agri-food industry” ‑ a title aligning concepts, information and solutions designed to promote energy efficiency among targeted audiences.

The initiative come after three years in a row when energynomics.ro organized its successful communication campaign “Energy efficiency for big results”, aimed at informing and educating the decision makers in the Romanian public authorities and companies – from Start-Ups and SMEs to the largest enterprises. The first two campaigns took place during the years 2017 and 2018.

Concept

“Bioeconomy and Energy Efficiency in Agro-Food Industry” is a concept designed to cover the main areas of action and useful tools for reducing energy footprint and costs with energy for the beneficiaries ‑ entities active in agriculture, processing food storage, storage conservation and food transport services. Energy efficiency is a MUST for development solid and also a FACILITATOR for success, no matter the size of the organization.

Bioeconomy can turn algae into fuel, can recycle plastic, can turn waste into furniture or clothing or can turn industrial by‑products into bio‑based fertilizers. Bioeconomy has the potential to generate 1 million new green jobs by 2030.

Between June and November 2019 we scheduled three conferences aimed to outline a common approach between energy and agriculture, identifying common opportunities and specific needs in the two sectors, while presenting existing solutions for maximizing profitability.

Each conference features top speakers and themes such as cogeneration, waste to energy, HVAC, controlled temperature, prosuming, automatization, IoT.

Every event includes sessions of presentations, debate and networking, as well as a practical visit in the field.
