PPC Blue Romania, part of the PPC group in Romania, has put into operation seven new ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles installed within the Henri Coandă Otopeni International Airport (OTP), near Bucharest. The stations with a power of 200 kW each are available to users, having been installed after the company won the tender organized by the National Airports Company of Bucharest.
Thus, PPC blue has installed in the North parking lot of Henri Coandă International Airport a modern infrastructure, consisting of 7 charging stations of 200 kW each, which serve a total of 14 recharging points. The total installed power is 1.4 MW, ensuring short charging times and a high capacity to serve users.

Otopeni Airport is one of the most dynamic transit points in the country, and our presence here is a clear signal that charging infrastructure must be where people need it. We are proud to be able to offer, from now on, a sustainable mobility solution at Romania’s largest airport,” said Andreea-Dana Popescu, General Manager of PPC Blue Romania.
The new stations are located in the parking lot near the Departures Terminal, offering electric vehicle users a fast and convenient charging solution. The contract, awarded following the auction held through the Romanian Commodity Exchange on March 18, 2026, has a duration of five years.
Through this project, PPC blue expands its network – one of the largest in Romania – and brings state-of-the-art technology to Otopeni Airport, designed to meet the growing demand for electric mobility solutions.
In Romania, PPC blue currently operates over 1,400 charging points in all counties of the country, an increase of approximately 27% compared to the end of last year, with a total installed capacity of over 46 MW, thus consolidating its position as one of the largest charging infrastructure operators in Romania. PPC blue offers integrated electric mobility solutions to residential customers, companies and public institutions throughout the country.
This year, PPC blue’s investments follow the same strategic direction: integrating electric mobility both in everyday life and during long trips. Thus, PPC blue will continue to develop the infrastructure in three complementary directions: densification of the charging network in areas where people already spend their time (retail, business districts, areas of interest, campuses, industrial parks and tourist areas), where charging becomes a natural part of daily activity, not a dedicated stop; investments in a balanced infrastructure through rapid transit stations, but also AC charging in residential and proximity areas to support the concept of slow living and to reduce pressure on the network.
