Parapet Renewable has completed construction work for a 55 MWp photovoltaic park, developed on an area of 54 ha, in Șimleu.

“We used a modern ground-mounting solution, without pouring concrete, with screwed piles for the 78,708 photovoltaic panels mounted on 2,811 fixed structures,” say company officials.

The installation was completed by the equipment necessary for transforming and delivering energy to the grid: 140 three-phase 350 kW inverters, 8 transformer stations.

The works included the complete implementation of direct current installations (from panels to inverters) and alternating current (from inverters to transformer stations); the medium voltage network to the high voltage station and the grounding network of the entire park, according to Transilvania Business.

The energy produced will be collected in the transformer station and will ultimately reach the National Electricity System, according to the Cluj-Napoca company. Parapet is a leading contractor in the renewable energy sector, with offices in Romania, Germany (Nuremberg) and Italy (Bergamo).

Since its establishment, the company has installed 2 GW of clean energy capacity in 15 countries in Europe. The portfolio includes 350 photovoltaic, wind and hybrid projects, offering everything from design and engineering to procurement, construction and maintenance.

The Israeli company Shikun & Binui Energy (SBE), part of the Shikun & Binui infrastructure group, announced that it has obtained a €49 million loan from Raiffeisen Bank International for the construction of a 101 MW photovoltaic park in Șimleul Silvaniei.

“The financing agreement allows us to sell the electricity produced on the wholesale market in Romania or to conclude power purchase agreements directly with commercial companies and electricity suppliers, allowing the sale of electricity to end customers,” according to SBE.

SBE had a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Romania that included 841 MW of solar capacity and 554 MW of wind, in various stages of development.
